i have just been to one of the houses i got my apples from last year i nearly fell on the floor   there was hardley any apples on the trees even the bramleys were small i guess i well and truly stuffed this year for me cider

Got the same problem here in south Wales, I've got a big orchard behind my house and every year I'm given buckets and buckets of apples daily and I feed them to the pigs and horses. This year I thought I'd be one step ahead and bought a cider press and Vigo pulp master ready for the forthcoming cider production but alas this year there is hardly anything, I managed to collect 20kg and then had to go and buy another 20kg of apples from the local market just to get 15l of juice. Wine production is on stop as well as there are no elderberries or blackberries either. Think I'll have to spend a bit of time getting together the AG setup.

Somebody told me all the rainy weather we've had kept the bees away, so nothing much got pollinated

There's enough left on to have allowed me to discover what looks like an abandoned cider orchard on common land as I've been cycling around.
I don't have the kit to extract the juice this year but that might change for next year.

where is that mmmmmm :D

My friend's apple tree has produced quite a few apples, but only very small ones. Elderberries are in short supply too, amd despite having gone blackberry picking twice, I've only managed about 1lb of blackberries. Fruit has not done well this year at all!

I guess I am lucky - I have some Bramleys on my tree but they are small.
Got 1kg blackberrys from the hedgerows yesterday and there are lots more I just didn;t have the time.
I am in Grantham.
