Enjoying my Ginger Beer so much I thought I'd follow through the theme...

Experimental 5l batch before the big boy [emoji16]

4L Apple Juice
0.5L of Yorkshire Tea
100g Root Ginger peeled and grated
1 Tsp Pectolase
1 Tsp Nutrient
Cider Yeast

Will top up with water when I know she's not going to erupt.

Method:

1L Apple juice in a pan with peeled and grated ginger. Boil up and simmer for 30mins.

Plonk into DJ.

Rest of ingredients in and then when at 22 added yeast.
Forgot to take OG but this is based on my Xmas mulled cider so estimate around 1.051.

Note to self - try harder on OG/SG readings !!

Nom nom ...

which yeast did you use and what does it top out at :mrgreen::whistle:

Bottled up tonight - I really like this. Probably closer to tasting like a ginger beer than actual ginger beer I made earlier this year.
If it's good when carbed this is going in a big batch.

That sounds good, as an alternative to ginger beer methods.
