I find bottle cleaning a chore, and recently got a new gadget which is an easy and brilliant device.
It is a Avvinatore Bottle Rinser
The unit is made of plastic and the bowl is about 8" across and 5" high. It cost less than £15 and is available in lots of HB outlets.
Use
I use it to sterilise my bottles, and when I do 30 or more in a batch itâs a real pain. With this unit I can sterilise 30 bottles in only a few minutes. It uses only about 1lt of sterilising solution so is economical as well. To use it you place a bottle over the injector and press down. A jet of fluid is squirted into the bottle and drains back into the bowl. I then dip the neck of the bottle in the fluid. Job done.
I use it in conjunction with a Blast Bottle Washer similar to the one pictured. It goes on to the tap and blasts water into the bottle. A fast way to rinse. This one costs about £15. Just Google âBlast Bottle Washerâ. I have a different model, so canât comment about this brand.
I then place the bottles onto a bottle tree to drain. I have the one pictured which is made from sturdy plastic. Stands about 20â tall, and 15â across. It revolves for easy loading and unloading. The one I have holds 45 bottles, but you can get bigger ones. Cost is about £20 from HB shops.
All in all a fast and easy bottle washing, sterilising and rinsing system.
I use thin bleach, but I am going over to Videne so should cut out the final rinse step and make it quicker still.
