Another Ispindel query

Just recently purchased, set-up to use with brewfather, worked fine until tested in steel fermenter... which is opposite end of flat from the WiFi router!

Is there an alternative way to connect/take readings without connecting via home WiFi, e.g. phone hotspot which I could open/connect sporadically take a reading when it sends?

I don't really want a WiFi extender/booster.

The only way the ispindel can work is over WiFi.

So anything you can use to give it WiFi will work. An extender, a hotspot etc close to the fermenter. Have a Google for ispindel nautilus. It's like a small extender you can use that also displays the current stats.

Why don't you want an extender? I got one from Amazon for me stainless fermenter. Cost a tenner, only use it when needed. Otherwise it sits in its box

I have a plastic fermenter in garage and the ispindele won't reach the WiFi in the house, so my set up is ispindele in fermenter connected to a Nautilus plugged in outside fermenter and an old mobile in the front of garage which can connect to WiFi acting as a hot spot.

Ispindele connects to nautilus, nautilus connected to old mobile and old mobile is on the WiFi and sending the data to brew father.

I have a wifi extender first next to my jacketed fermenter and it works fine.

@Agentgonzo thanks for questioning why I didn't want an extender. I actually had one from when I boosted the next door hotel's free WiFi.
