another hello from South Wales

Evening all. My name is Peter, i live near Pontyclun, and have been into real ale for many years, i've been a Camra member for many years.

Back in July I received a Young's brew buddy kit, which got me hooked. as a basic pint it came out ok, even with granulated sugar.

I done a few others after this, some worked out ok, some didn't. i think most of it was due to contamination - not washing the bottles out properly.

I'm currently brewing a woodfordes wherry kit (a christmas present) and my other favourite John Bull IPA - using Muntons Beer enhancer instead of sugar.

this year, i plan to have a go at making a brew from scratch, make a mash tun etc.

that said, i will have many questions to ask - in the correct forum sections.

Sadly as a novice, i probably won't be able to offer much in the way of meaningful advice.

i'm off to investigate this wonderful forum.
