Hello everyone i have just made my first coopers kit. I rushed, i followed can and i thought i could just put it in a barrel with no pressure and get nice fizzy beer. Well it came out terribly as you can imagine
. But i have learned a few early lessons.
My next kit is a coopers canadian blonde. Its been sat in the bucket at around 22c for a week and i plan to leave it another week atleast.
My question mainly is regarding "cold crash". I understand what it does but dont understand why its bad that it may suck oxygen into bucket? If buckets are not airtight anyway.
Can i not just remove the airlock and cover with wrap. And put in fridge for a week to clear the beer up a bit? Then go to bottles to carbonate?
I have searched many forums but havnt found a straight answer to this one.
Equally happy to not try it at all if people dont think its worth the time. Any advice for a begginer is welcome
Thanks
