Having made a few brews using these hops I can honestly say that the Chinook came out on top for taste. Don't get me wrong, the Amarillo is good, but the Chinook hops I used imparted a lovely citrus/pine note that pressed all the right buttons for me, so much so, that its going to be may 'go to' hop for a while. Hey, its not for everyones palate but if your reading this....give it a whirl.
For the kit makers it would be ideal if you are making a light coloured beer, in the IPA or AIPA style, as a dry hop addition:thumb:

I love Chinook. I've used it at 10 and 5 mins and I got a really heavy pine flavour, loved it.
What timings did you add it at?

My first AG was a smash, with Chinook Hops. I've mentioned before on here that unfortunately it didn't carbonate. However, the flavour was spot on.

Chinook is on the list. I've got Amarillo, Cascade and Falconer's Flight in the freezer, and I'm planning on dry hopping the lager partial mash in the fv at the moment with the Cascade, and then do an OTT black IPA, perhaps with a dry hop of 50g FF and 100g Amarillo. So many hops and so little time. I'm really thinking of doing an IPA, splitting it between five demijohns, and dry hopping each with something different.
