hi all im investing in a new 50 lit brew pot has any one used or is any one using Aluminium. this is going to get used on a 8.8kw gas ring. ive been looking at stainless steel i know that the pots from france are realy great looking and shiney but ive heard a rumble that the base is not very thick and after time warps and ripples i can get a 4 mm thick aluminium pot for approx the same price give or take a few pounds i also know and the reaction against the wort some ppl have said in the past but they say the same about copper but we all still use it and most professional kitchens use aluminium pots and hay were all still alive

I use a 65 litre ally pot with a 3kw pigtail element, on my range cooker gas hob (over the big double gas ring) and it works a treat.
