Well here we go, been AG for a while, but never done a "lager" before as Im a confirmed real ale man, however I've tried a few "craft" lagers recently, and I've got to say, they have moved on a long way from the usual industrial brews.
Anyway, I've scaled down Greg Hughes Czech pilsner for my corny, used beersmith for the first time, adjusted the Tesco chase spring caco3 to 20ppm- so here goes !

Hello mate,
Saflager s23.....just chilling the wort now...got to say, the beersmith is spot on with water volume calcs...got just over 19l to strain off the hops...the cold crash snot in the boiler is the best I've ever had !.....
Hydro is spot on at 1046.....well pleased !

What recipe did you use ?

At work now, used just 5kg pilsner malt and cascade hops, want it to come out about 30ibus and 5% abv.

Gravity down to 1010 after 6 days fermenting at 13°C, had a taste of the sample and it does have that crisp lager taste to it, so very promising at this early stage.
