That's it ! have ordered a 50L s/s pot, igloo mash tun, copper tube. Kegs delivered today and picking up gas tomorrow. I'm ready !

Wife wasn't very happy until I explained, on quick projections on alcohol consumed and ingredient costs, if I stop buying commercial beer I'll have broken even in four 23L batches. Then after that I'm saving approx £65 a batch :thumb: It also means if I can produce a good imperial ipa I'll be even better off

It is expensive to setup but the saving to someone who quite easily was dropping £100 a month on craft ale is huge.

Great stuff, I've only done a couple of BIAB but will be moving onto a 3 vessel system soon i hope.

I have the same problem and seem to be spending more on beer "for research" than I ever have before. Just a shame that craft beer is so expensive!

Hopefully I can become self sufficient once I've got my stock levels up :)

Yeahhhh!! The cost could be steep!! But once you get the hand on all the the £100+ is better in your pocket!!
I tried beer kits since the 80's and 4 years ago AG fever hit!!! Never looking back tbh!! Best choice I ever made...:-)
