I’ve been weighing up the options. I’ve got the brew fridge, but transferring the batch into a plastic bucket is going to do more harm than just letting it go. I’ll let it ferment out at ambient temp and keg it, what the worst that can happen. It won’t be the first batch I poured out, or the the first batch that came good despite the odds either.Aargh nooo! Can you transfer the Pils to a bucket and float it in a bin with some ice from the supermarket?
All my Pils’ get done in plastic buckets (in the brew fridge) … they’re all I’ve got !I’ve been weighing up the options. I still brew them that way when the other FV’s are tied up and they work perfectly. All my Pils’ get done in plastic buckets (in the brew fridge) … they’re all I’ve got !
Is the spare power supply identical to the original? If not are you sure it has the beef to drive the relays inside the controller that call the pump? The power supply took the plunge, not the controller. It powers up with an alternative power supply, the temp probe functions but it won’t turn on the pump from the chiller. I’m assuming something inside it got fried.
It’s 9V vs 12V, from a guitar effects pedal board. Both are 2amp. Would that account for the difference? Is the spare power supply identical to the original? If not are you sure it has the beef to drive the relays inside the controller that call the pump?
Assuming that it is relays on the controller board, if they have a 12v coil then the 9v supply is unlikely to switch them although I do use 12v relays in my day job that will switch at 10v.It’s 9V vs 12V, from a guitar effects pedal board. Both are 2amp. Would that account for the difference?
I have a wee multi-charge thing but none of the interchangeable ends fit the control box.
Cheers. I take the 8amp vs 2amp won’t cause problems.
The 2 amp is the input current at 230v, the 8 amp is the output at 12v the same as your original PSU.Cheers. I take the 8amp vs 2amp won’t cause problems.
Told you I was a techno-numpty.The 2 amp is the input current at 230v, the 8 amp is the output at 12v the same as your original PSU.
