hi guys only done a few all grains but done loads of kits, always leave fv in airing cubard for about 4 weeks and beer always cleared on its own, noticed ag don’t clear as well as kits, should it be going in the cold (always use Irish stew last 15 of boil)am i doing something wrong ???? can anybody help :wha:

.I am getting the same. kit cleared well but not my first ag so far. First time in the c. Keg. Just put straight in and left in the cold for 4 weeks the force carb. On 3 rd pint but looks really cloudy.

hey 46.philh. mines bad but not that bad, is that from a bachelors kit
(wheres all the beer gods today not much advice about, do you think there is a beer god convention going down somewhere) :drunk:

In a cornie you'll need to drop it clear more in the FV and not bring as much yeast over, you'll always have 2-3 pints cloudy as the pick up for the cornie kegs is at the bottom so anything that settles out will be first to get in the pint glass.
I will transfer into secondary and leave to clear again before kegging in a cornie, I also filter some pales that go into cornies to make sure they are sparkling bright.

TG you'll need to check on your ratio's of Irish moss to wort, Is your boil a hard boil for the last 15 mins or is it a slow boil because you just dropped a ice cold cooler in to sterilise? Which yeasts are you using some are not as good as other clearing?

After bottling I leave my beers in a warm place for a week then into storage (cool) for as long as I can leave em alone, all have cleared well, no finings etc :thumb:
