Evening all, in the new year I am hoping to turn my attention to some AG brewing from the kits. Having never done one before what sort of equipment do I need to complete the process?

Thanks
Meirion

Depends on how much space you have, how much you want to spend etc.
check out clibits thread just posted its probably a good route for your first brew.
If you do have lots of space, and don't want to go down the brew in a bag route and want to do 23ltr batches you would need a hot liquor tank/kettle (which can double up as a boiler for the boil), a mash tun (normally a converted cool box) and an immersion chiller....and a decent digital thermomoter. Thats about it.

I love brew in a bag.

Big pot, paint strainer bag, thermometer, spoon, something to insulate (I use an old sleeping bag), some sort of burner or hearing element and you're just about good to go. It makes for a pretty simple brew day and only one pot to clean up. 👍

+1 @brisboy.

It's so easy and makes such a decent pint. I haven't looked back since I went over to the dark side
