So, finally got around to brewing my very first own recipe beer and it didn't turn out too bad. Here's what I tried:

FERMENTABLES:
4.5 kg - United Kingdom - Maris Otter Pale (72.6%)
0.4 kg - United Kingdom - Chocolate (6.5%)
0.3 kg - United Kingdom - Crystal 60L (4.8%)
0.3 kg - Belgian - Biscuit (4.8%)
0.2 kg - United Kingdom - Black Patent (3.2%)
0.2 kg - Belgian - Special B (3.2%)
0.3 kg - Flaked Oats (4.8%)

HOPS:
45 g - Challenger, Type: Leaf/Whole, AA: 8.5, Use: Boil for 60 min, IBU: 44.95
15 g - Challenger, Type: Leaf/Whole, AA: 8.5, Use: Boil for 15 min, IBU: 7.43
15 g - Goldings, Type: Leaf/Whole, AA: 4.5, Use: Boil for 5 min, IBU: 1.58

MASH GUIDELINES:
1) Infusion, Temp: 50 C, Time: 30 min, Amount: 0.5 L, 300g Oats w/30g MO
2) Infusion, Temp: 64 C, Time: 90 min, Amount: 14.5 L
3) Sparge, Temp: 74 C, Time: 0 min, Amount: 8 L, Sparge to make up 23l in boiler

OTHER INGREDIENTS:
150 g - Cocoa Powder, Time: 15 min, Type: Flavor, Use: Boil

YEAST:
Wyeast - Ringwood Ale 1187
Starter: No

Though not everything went to plan!

The Monster Mash which proved to be larger than my pan could hold! Had to reduce the amount of water in the mash and still ended up with some spillage.

The beer came out a more chocolatey colour than I thought it would, but that's not necesarilly a bad thing. The OG was lower than the planned 1.065 and ended up as 1.050 (a massive difference!). I didn't take into account all my losses and ended up with about 16.5l in the fermenter instead of the planned 19.

On the bright side, if I end up with 16.5l litres of drinkable chocolate stout at ~5.2% then I'll still be a happy bunny! :) :drink:
 
She's a beast! Cooled the wort down to below 30 degrees in just over 20 mins - credit has to go to my brother for building it.
 
Looks good, might try it, although I don't wanna get too many different malts and only use tiny amounts - too much sitting around atm. How sweet would you say it is? Have you got a pic in the glass? #beerporn lol
