Rather Un-interesting Grain Shot

Good luck with it Dr M. I did this in January and it's now had 5 weeks in the bottle. The full malt and bitterness has mellowed, still hints of tangerine and a bitterness that lingers, although it is not quite bright. I used EKG to dry hop and Brewlab Borders, which is the same McEwan's strain. I'm just having a sample each week and want to keep as many as possible for 3 months, and might even put it in TST. The 1868 XP is interesting with Saaz, but my next Youngers will be the 1868 No 3.

Thanks Ed. Glad to hear your's has turned out great.

The No.3 looks like a monster!

not quite the monster that is No 1  but No 3 has the IBU's of the 1885 XP but at OG 1077, so will be more balanced, but yes still a monster

All done.

Missed OG target by a couple of points but got the full volume. Found a small stone in the bottom of the boiler. Guess it must have been in the hops. Been through the boil so shouldn't be an infection risk.

Final wort sample
