I'm keen to know how you got on with those SS mesh siphons. I'm considering using the same method to get cooled wort out of my two tapless boiling pans, having worked out it could cost me over £70 to fit filters and taps to them. Only used a hop sock over a siphon cup last time, which clogged like feck.

Just having a bottle that Noby sent me after a bottle swap. what an aroma coming from it! after reading that Stan Hieronymous 'For the love of hops' book I now smell the underside of the crown cap after popping to get a good whiff and this bottle knocked me into next week! massive grapefruit, orange, lemon, lime coming from it, you've got the aroma of punk down to fine art!
taste wise it doesn't disappoint either, the warmer it gets the more it taste like Punk, massive hop flavour hits your tongue then just seems to stick to it and wrap itself around then the bitterness kicks in and clears the palate ready for the next swig
An unbelievably good beer! I had it straight from the fridge and it was a bit hazy but its clearing up the warmer it gets as you can see in the 2nd pic. When I dry hopped my beer before I used pellets which created a big oily slick on the surface and it resulted in the beer having a sort of oily mouthfeel, I think it was the summer swap or last years Secret Santa that I sent to yourself, but there is no oilyness from this beer (I assume as you used leaf hops??)
superb Noby, at this rate your going to clear up at TST 14 comps if this is the type of beers you are brewing!
thanks very much.
