hi I've got a Geordie Yorkshire bitter kit I brewed with 1kg of Geordie beer enhancer and 200g of dextrose. it's day 7 and the air lock has levled out and but it didn't bubble much to begin with I think it's a crap seal
my og Reading was 1.084 and now it's 1.014 it's only about 16-17 (18 max) degrees c under my stairs is this a major issue? should I
buy a heat belt and hope it starts again?
Let it be and hope it picks up?
knock it on the head and forget it?
Or put In more yeast ????? help please it's about 15 quid wasted if I can't get it to start again.
Thanks
ben

1.084 is very high for a bitter kit did you follow all the instructions properly. If it finishes fermenting to 1.010 the abv will be something like 9% something has gone wrong somewhere

That sounds better :D . If it is at 1014 and only been at around 18C then after 7 days I would say it has been doing OK. Wrap it in an old blanket or quilt and give it another week and it should be fine :thumb:
