I'm about to do my first beer kit and I'm looking for ways to maximise the results. I read that adding less water to my beer kit will result in increased alcohol content and a richer flavour. Is this the case? If so how much water could I leave out? It's a 40 pint kit so I was thinking of aiming for around 30 instead.

cheap kits benefit from brewing short say to 30-35 pints instead of 40.

With more expensive two can kits its not so much of an issue but they will still show an improvement.
