if you want to go SSin fermenting then you really are talking conicles, tasty but expensive with a lifetimes use from them

Could do with one with the ridges around he outside. I'm always very wary of lifting from the handle. I've seen a few of these on YouTube videos but they seem like an American thing.
The advantage is being able to lift with both hands and a decent grip.
If anyone has a link be great

Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/332036665578

This is what I meant by as you can see it comes at a price (literally)

SS Brewtech brew bucket is an option as is a 30l stock pot, or thermopot. but the usual 'bergland' stockpots/thermopots used for brewpots are not designed to be lifted by the handles when full so be careful..

fwiw i use a 80l thermopot for a FV the insulation is so good no active heating is needed in winter when used in the brewshed without heating.. however a cooling IC is required to keep it cool ..

currently looking at either the brewbuilder flat FV or the SS brewbucket, would love the bigger conical but would also need a bigger fridge and my room is limited

thanks guys there are some nice fv but my state pension won't cover the cost of some of them

Ages ago a forumite posted a piccy of a nice SS FV. I asked him where he got it and he said alibaba.com. It was quite cheap too (cant remember how much though). So might be worth having a mooch on that site to see if you can find anything in your price range

a Bergland SS 30-35l stock pot will set you back £25-£35 delivered, email the german ebay.fr seller for a quote for delivery to the UK.. [email protected] or search ebay.fr with the term "innox marmite" for alternative suppliers to contact.
