excellent baz!

you gotta watch out though, the journey to the darkside is a dangerous slippery slope

look at me innocently mashing a few kilos a time, then next thing you know im digging out 500kg of spent grain

First tasting of the Initiation Brew .....................

the left hand brew is Brupaks Best Bitter kit brewed 8th Sept

the right hand brew is the Initiation brew, brewed 17th Sept, still needs a bit longer to come to, but showing plenty of promise taste wise already

baz watch the cheeky tasters :? it`ll all be gone  looking good :thumb:

It's the verdict tomorrow night, I'm meeting up with a gang of mates .......

I'm taking a quantity of my first two 'kit' brews and my first AG brew to see what they think, brave or what :?

The second AG has just been 'racked' into a clean FV for a week or two before bottling :!:

Great stuff Baz! Did you use Protafloc for the boil? My supplier was out of it so I guess I'll have to put up with potentially cloudier appearance of my own AG#2 this weekend.

Yes I did put half a tablet in :thumb:

As for the brew itself I am very pleased with the result, AG#2 is in a cask settling ready for bottling and the grain is arriving this morning for AG#3

The first of my AG brews was a great success last night .........

Wonderful. Seems like your first efforts were roaring successes - well done! I shared a few of my beers with friends that appreciate a good pint last weekend and the feedback was positive. Good company + decent beer = win.

Well, fellow brewmeisters, was having a bit of a sort out this morning and .......... the last 2 bottles of AG#1 'The Initiation Brew' brewed 17th September 2010 have been brought up to the house for consumption this weekend :drink:

I had one last weekend and it really was like drinking cream, really very smooth indeed :thumb:

So next brew planned for tomorrow, maybe Riggwelter ready for coming winter :!: and then re order from Rob ;)
