Now 8 cases in the UK. Brighton GP surgery shut down and deep cleaned after one worker there tested positive.
The thing that gets me is last time I went to my GP with pneumonia she just listened to my chest and sent me on my way with no testing of exactly what I had. I don't think I have EVER been swabbed to identify what it is that I have had - so how are they doing this now?
Wouldn't it be better to offer patients the ability to order test kits by post, swab at home then post it back without sitting in a doctors surgery with 30 other people for 50 minutes? The number of times I have contracted something while at the doctors is quite large. Usually from red faced children running around coughing.
