Just wondering what a good 1st book for a novice is?
Ive done a couple of kits but am looking to get more into it

Graham Wheeler's Brew Your Own British Real Ale is as good a book to start with :thumb:

Goes through brewing procedures simply explained and a whole load of recipes

+1 for GW BYOBRA, nice uncomplicated approach and some good recipes.

I've been reading a few books of late too.....

Dummies Guide to Homebrewing. It's American based, but still very interesting - explains everything in a "You don't need to be a rocket scientist" kind of way.
I have it in eBook format too so I can read it on the Kindle.

Good Housekeeping. Home Made Wine & Beer - Some very interesting recipes, although it's been written by a wine expert which I find a bit odd.

A Guide to Craft Brewing - On my "To read" list.

I've got a couple of others, but I'm going through one at a time.

Marc Ollosons e book Real Ales for the Home Brewer. dirt cheap and lots of good recipes.

I started with Dave Lime's book, then got 3 of GW's and finially the Nexus copy of MO's one.
I always wonder what revisions the newer releases have, compared to my early editions, but can't afford to purchase them all again
