thought i would up grade me boiler used the tesco elements done a test working sweet ill get some spare in case tesco change them ;) ;) as some people got asda ones and differnt size hole :thumb:
60 ltr bin with lid cost £26:63 from local hme brew shop :thumb: :D

yeah the exact same as mine ,except i have removed the switch and cut off the plastic piece sticking up that the switch attaches to so it is only a round bit of plastic left,what kind of leads are you using ? :thumb:
 
hot plugs from rs / 16 amp 3 core wilcos / 13 amp plug wilcos

no m8 they fit straight off the kettle with a 38mm hole cutter just took the switch off of the element plastic body so i can fit a shroud to protect from water/wort landing on the electrics and yes its a steel keg ,worst bit is trying to cut the top off but you get it eventually with an angle grinder :thumb:
 
no problem with the bend in the steel thought i might have was considering flattening it with a heavy hammer and a block of wood but didnt need to :thumb:
 
there is number of factors like how cold water how cold is your steel boiler and how many ltr you going to boil etc you see wot i mean ie i use 2 elements to bring close to temp stop one then let the pid unit finish it off :thumb:
