£shops or similar for camping mats and mylar sheets (space blankets) and even luggage straps to hold the diy composite together ;) cheap and effective (£30r4 if you get 2 x luggage straps ;))

You'v just gotta love this forum :)
Here I am paying £36.00 for the official grain coat for my grainfather when I could have bagged a couple of yoga mats for less than a tenner

Wouldn't aluminium from a roll like you'd use to put your sarnies in work just as well as a space blanket...

.....and a darn site cheaper I'd imagine xD

fwiw when kitting out my keg store i was constricted by my width space AND NEEDED to fit insulation within 11mm cavities in order to fit the kegs in, a wee google on the subect led me to a very interesting site checking out thin insulation and composite media. Using a steam powered balloon and the height it reached with a known heat input in kw as an experimental metric, they also included the maths to back up the experiments conclusions but tbh that was all way over my head, BUT the Mylar and bubblewrap composite baloon was the winner ;)
2 x space blankets or more should be found in the £shop ;) or you could collect crunchie wrappers
