after asking for some help on here i have now bottled 24 500ml bottles of youngs lager first 12 were done on friday and they are already clearing nicely managed to do another 12 yesterday but ive now run out of bottles (doing this on the cheap so not buying any!) ive asked on freecycle locally so hope i can get ther rest bottled up. should be very drinkable by easter i hope. I have experimented with the last 2 gallons by putting some cocoa in which i boiled along with some fresh mint so that should be interesting!. As soon as i can i'm going to get a wherry kit from wilkos as they seem very highly recomended on here and i perfer that real/pale ale type of drink. seems i have the bug already!!

If you are wanting glass bottles, try your local pub. From what I can gather the magners or bulmers bottles are best.

If you are after pet bottles, pop to your local supermarket and buy some cheap fizzy drink (soda water etc) and use those bottles. You can use whatever size you want but I would recommend not using 2 litre bottled, unless you drink it all in one go.

Whatever bottles you use, just make sure they have contained carbonated liquid previously otherwise they will not wistand the pressure :thumb:
