Hello everyone,

When I watch home brew bids they always use an expression similar to "cheers, 17" or something along the lines of that and I'm wondering what it actually means/stands for.

Thanks,

Ben.

The 17 Brew Crew. I first came across it on 'Craigtube' - it's an American (Canadian?) group of guys/forum that Craigtube is involved with.

I like the guy in Craigtube and really like his videos, so helpful and entertaining to watch, but I wish he would put his reading glasses on when reading labels etc. his eye-site is clearly as poor as my own (and I aim almost blind in one eye). Bless him, he really strains his eyes to see on our behalf.

I think he's Canadian by the way he pronounces words like 'about' ('aboot').

GREAT channel for home brewing and an entertaining guy.

There was several at it 3 or 4 years ago doing video casts and one of them started to use 17 instead of cheers, they all adopted it.
Yep Craig, a Canadian, is a legend and his early stuff is great, his eyesight is to do with the fact that he is Albino.
