Hi all, I just made a Serria Nevada clone brew. The brew was originally for 5 gallons but I reduced the quantities to a 1 gallon brew. However at the end of the boil I appear to have about 1 litre less than a gallon. I was thinking of adding 1 litre of boiled and cooled water to the brew as it is in the very early stages of fermentation. Has anyone experienced this? Is adding extra water advisable? Cheers Austin.

You can, it will reduce your fg.
Have a look at the calc below, for dilution/topup. If you took an initial SG at least you might be able to work out you will reduce by.....
