The Range seem to have these in stock again. I think they are brilliant and REALLY cheap. I've been using these for a year and I have about 120 of them. You can have them delivered if you don't live near a store. If you spend over £50 you get delivery free.

That's the best price I've ever seen in the UK for sure! :thumb: :thumb:

That's what I reckon, although people always post that they can get bottles free by just drinking the ale out of them. That's true, but they are not usually swing tops, unless you buy that sort of beer. Mine have been used a fair bit and are working great.

Delivery is an advantage if you don't live near an outlet. I once got sixty of these plus a steriliser sachet delivered for about £50 and a few pennies. The delivery charge of about six quid was waived if you went over the £50 minimum spend. The bottles came to about 49.95 and I had to add in a daft little extra to get it over the fifty quid, so I added on a sachet of steriliser. They were delivered about four or five days after the order went in. They can't be making any money at that price.

Aldi were selling wheat beer and **** lager for £1.79 a bottle a while back. Great quality bottles, very thick dark brown and hard to see through. At the moment they are selling "artisan" lemonade £1.69 which comes in a lovely clear 750ml bottle. Good for wine. I really need more swing tops, got around 40 but need 10 x that amount.

Er... I did say "... in the UK."

In France the 650ml flip-top Fischer beer bottles come in at €1.48 full of a drinkable beer!

Okay so my experience with these bottle tops is not a good one.

I bottles the stout with those metal brackets two weeks ago and they are flat as flat can be.

When I put the metal ring on the bottles I had a lot of troubles due to the curved neck. The tops were on tight but if wanted you could pull the whole thing off. So I thought, I will either have exploding bottles or they are not tight enough and any gas will leak out as it emerges.

Well, the latter was the case.

Oh that's a pity. Try a box or two of those bottles from The Range. It's a real pain when you spend time and money making beer and get let down by some shoddy product. Reminds me of plastic kegs that crack and leak and the mini keg system I bought that leaked. I think it was the tap that was leaking gas, but I lost confidence in the thing and haven't used it since. Others swear by them.

I've got some of the range ones, they are good. I just had 20 bottles laying around here that I thought I could use with those metal brackets...
