    OMG! Just got home after a 12 hour shift and tried a pint of coopers real ale. Although still a bit cloudy it was a banging pint! The taste put an instant smile on my face.     Hi All, has anyone brewed the Coopers real ale? I should have mine by the weekend. I read that all you need is 1Kg of brewing sugar. Has anyone used anything else like light spray-malt? Would love to hear any idea's. Many thanks :thumb:

    Hi home brewers, I'm Neil from Penzance, I'm on my sixth homebrew but am still learning. I'm mainly interested in real ales, I'll be using kits until I'm confident enough to make a REAL ale from scratch. Great forum, glad to be a part of the family :drunk:

    Hydrometer reading 2 days in a row of 1006, I just unscrewed the lid a wee tad and my god did it hiss. That was and hour ago, the barrel is looking normal now. :cheers: thanks pard

    Hi All, this may sound daft but, I've just put my tom caxton dark real ale into my barrel after 8 days in the FV. I did as the instructions said and left it in a warm place for 2 days. Today 26/09/13 I placed it on my bar next to my wife's homebrew Rose, 2 barrels exactly the same but one bigger...
