    Nasturtium Wine?

I made a marigold and nasturtium flower wine a few years ago. It was OK, the main problem being getting enough flowers- ideally you don't want ones that have gone "over" too far, and picking over the marigolds was a pain. Personally I thought it was a bit much hassle for the end result, so only...

    Raspberryade

Mine has just finished, so hopefully will improve a bit. at the moment is a bit too acid tasting with a very strong artifical-raspberry-e-number finish. Will this "artificial" taste become a bit more subtle with age or is it just the way it is?

Total novice/idiot to brewing cider & wine

For what its worth, I've made cider from (random) apples in the past with decent results. Getting the juice: I used a juicer. You don't get as much as you would from a press, and it takes a while as you won't be able to run the juicer continually without burning motor out. Then I added...

    bottles & corks

Thankyou!!! It doesn't matter so much for wines that you'd decant, but would really like to make mine look better. So normal wine bottle, new label and corks are the norm?

    bottles & corks

Really newbie question: what do you bottle your wines in? How do you cork them? I've made ciders and country wines (i.e. from foraged things) in the past and bottled them into smaller PET bottles (mostly tonic water bottles ) with a screw top made for fizzies. But would like to bottle into...

Great minds think alike & all that! I've already got a couple WOW's underway, but wanted to try a kit in addition.

    Anyone recommend a wine kit?

Am looking for a 1-gallon kit for red wine - can anyone recommend anything? Have had a look at the reviews section and got some good tips from there, but as is first time with a kit (though have brewed before) thought someone could point me in a good direction re: manufacturers etc. I don't...

    Cider From Fresh Apples

One of the very few things I have brewed is cider from fruit, like you I used a juicer. Everything went in, except for any really bad bits. Dependoing on your juicer, you just need to watch that the motor doesn't overheat - you'll be running it for longer than "normal use".

    Hello

Hi, just joined the forum so thought should introduce myself! I've primarily made own cider in the past, but stopped once my apple tree stopped producing so wel. Have also made various dubious "hedgrow" wines with mixed success, before consigning DJ's to loft. But recently decided to have...
