Ok so I have this friend Pete. He really is a Saint. He always has been the sort of mate you know you never have to ask for anything in the way of a helping hand or moral support, it just happens. It always has done and for a number of years, including a very rocky period of my life when I was...
In my ladies brew thread above/below/somewhere around this forum, i stuck the strawberry ribena in at the beginning rather than the end and it's really held onto the strawberry flavour. In fact the smell is very pronounced ;)
Loved the vid :)
OK so this stuff has run right down to 0995 which according to my calcs gives it 7.8 abv :o . I've racked it off and I'm using some alcotec finings to clear it a bit and then it's going into bottles tomorrow night.
I had a taste when I racked it off. Well to say just a taste would be taking the...
I was a bit ****** off having spent £23 on a muntons two can kit to find there were no instructions inside on how to brew it.

:thumb: You see that's the sort of knowledge that you can only get from people who know :D
Muchas Grassyass.
I might ask my local if i can knick some bottles from their back yard ;)
This thing has gone off like a bloody jacuzzi
I can hear it bubbling in my bedroom :D

Ta :D
I've called it the "Black Stuff" (Like a kiss from Yosser Hughes)
I've cleared the garage out today to ensure there is room for expansion and a BIAB set up. I don't know why i didn't do this years ago
I love that thread. Very inspiring
Job Done
Had to have a taster. Thick, comforting and rich with a tint of liquorice straight out the fermenter :)
I'll just have to keep my Hands off it now and let the magic happen.
Just pitching the yeast on a muntons Old English Bitter one now. I think I may have the bug
