Hi all Brewed up 40 pints of gordie bitter been in the pressure barrel around 4 weeks do you reckon its ok to crack open

Thats interesting so once ive got that reading for 2 days or so then switch the beer into a pressure barrel I should add 120g to get it fizzy? Ive been adding 2 n a half oz which my workin out gived me 62and a half grams might be why its flat as a witches tit

Oh yer I do put the stated amount of sugar in but I haven't got a hydro meter to check it.

Does mild bitter have much fizz to it I only drink bitter and its seems very flat anyway?

He lives a bout 30 miles away. Is it possible to switch the beer into a new container and remove the sediment and then put it back in the barrel all of it will b drunk easily in one night

Oh right so if I did let air into it how long befor it goes flat? We were planning on drinking the lot in one night I cant drain it out the tap because its pressurized my plan is to put it in 5 l bottles next time so I dont have to crack a barrel open
