    Picture 1 is the off position but leaks. Picture 2 is also in the off position and no leak present. Picture 3 is where the beer would start to flow to pour your pint.

    Below is a Youngs quick serve tap. With the tap in the position shown above it leaks. With the tap in the position shown above it is fine & no leaks With the tap in the position shown above it will start to pour the brew.

    This tap in question is the quick serve lever tap not the drum tap. The only seal with either tap is where the tap fits through the hole in the bin. There is no seal inside either tap.

    I have another on the way to replace this item. I can say that i did have it 100% shut at 3 0 clock. If i rotate the lever so it is nearly pointing at you then the fluid starts to flow. I will try it somewhere in between. I will let you know the outcome.

    Everything washed and ready. I will use 3oz of sugar,mix then bottle. I will leave in the same room for 2 weeks then when moving to a cold place for 1 week. Providing we do not have a frost can i leave it outside or it that to cold ?
