    My hops are sprouting already.

I'd cut down the top growth by half, then wait a week or so then cut down to ground level, this want be sucha shock to the plant, but having said that Hops are a hardy plant and will take some abuse!

    electric hob

Or make one of these, 2 Tesco elements and it sits on a large gas ring, therefore faster to boil and if there is a power cut i've still got the gas, and being stainless it should last for ever, or near enough.

Which beers are good for reclaiming yeast?

I thought the yeast in the bottles to condition the ale is a different strain to the one that's used in primary fermentation!

does anyone have any hop plants for sale

I bought 2 hop roots/rhysomes from Aplus Hops in March of this year, they both have shoots of about 6". I've been growing a wild hops for a few years now, but they produce loads of stragly green shoots but very few hops, so i've dug em out.

    Pendle witches brew

I brewed this about 6 weeks ago, taken from G.W.'s book, and it's a cracking pint. On recent brews I've meddled/tweeked the recipes or made my own up, but on this occaison I did it exactly to the book and it's turned out a treat!
