Ey up ;ads! Been a while I know! life, new baby and returning back to academia has all taken its toll on my brewing time! I've still had my hand in brewing wise, but not been as prolific as in the past! The time doesn't seem to stretch to posting much at the moment either!

Anyway, I'm still lurking about and the plan is to get back on the horse in the new year!

cheers

LB

Welcome return to the fold....it's a bugger when other things get in your way when it comes to brewing... ;)

I was only thinking last night that there's a few of the big names missing on here...wonder where they are and why they are not posting????? :wha:

Welcome back LB :thumb:

Little ones do take a lot of time and it doesn't get any easier either. They start taking space and money as well

They answering back and take the **** and are always right

in a few years you will be hiding your self in the shed brewing.

Enjoy.

Congrats on the youngun' LB.
Kids pick up a lot when they're young so get teaching them brewing techniques early :thumb: we need more Homebrewers in Leeds!

I am getting confused.

I thought LBer was LB the other week but with a new avatar :wha: :wha:

What ever you do LB don't ever change your avatar I won't know who is who

And don't you two ever have kids together that would just be wrong and confusing on all levels

He's well into his education on all things brewing! He had his 1st brewery tour and Northern Craft Brewers meeting when he was only 3 weeks old! :D

Where abouts in Leeds r u? I'm in Guiseley! I take it you haven't made it to one of the Leeds Homebrewer's meets? We meet every quarter, give or take. It's a growing club, with support from quite a few of the best local pro brewers such as Roosters, Thornbridge, Ilkley who have all offered prizes for competitions this year! It's a great bunch of folks, you should defo make it along for the next one.

I'm other side - Crossgates direction. I saw the leedshomebrew site and was very grateful for the tip about emailing north bar for free bottles. Got a couple of crates of swingtops :D
When I get doing AG properly I might come along. Just ordered my first hops and guna try a 2G batch in the next few weeks.

Welcome back, myself being a noob home brewer in Leeds i had no idea there was so many in the area.

Have any of you lot in the Leeds area been to "Friends Of Ham" yet? http://www.friendsofham.com/ its right near the station opposite Evans Cycles. They have some excellent beers (keg, cask and bottle) its a rite nice place with a warm atmosphere which in my experience of Leeds City Cnt is quite unique.

No not tried it. Just looked at the site though and it looks pretty good. I work in the centre but don't actually go out in leeds much. check out north bar if you havent been there before. good selection of beers. Sela bar next door is ok too. North bar will give you a crate of empty beer bottles if you email them in advance. worth a try if you don't have many yet. They do want a bottle of homebrew in return though :thumb:

theres another couple of brewers on this site from leeds as well. the_liam (i think) and the ginger ninja.

Don't forget to put yourselves on the map. top left. :thumb:

Good tip!. I've been picking up discarded bottles after house parties which is slow going as most of my mates drink beer that either comes in 330ml bottles or cans.

I love that place! It's taken over from Mr Foley's as my go to bar! The black pudding scotch eggs are amazing! :D

haha yes that place has caused me miss my train on many occasions! Not tried the scotch eggs yet i normally just go for the fresh cut ham and bread washed down with a different beer each time!

In Beckitts Banks yesterday to escape from shopping, had a few Leeds Best, cracking stuff, as is Midnight Bell
