Bugger!!! Brew fridge is too small.

I would do as stated above. The collars are ok but I have other fermenters and get by just fine without the krausen causing issues. Assuming of course the FV fit with them off. Cheers Steve.

    Xmas brew is on

Beer is barrelled. Used a siphon with muslin bag over the end and no trouble sucking it all up through the EKG's. 100grms of brewing sugar and she is now under the stairs and will be there for the next 3months. I guess the next update will be the day I'm putting up my Xmas deckies with a nice...

    Xmas brew is on

So the beer started out at 1.047. It fermented well, sadly due to a heat wave it got a little high in the temps. After a week we were down to 1.012 and so it has been racked into a second FV with around 30g of East Kent Goldings thrown straight in. Back under the stairs for another 7...

Hello. I have made a couple of extract kits bought from brew uk.... I'm interested in looking for other sites that sell extract kits. Where do you get yours. I have looked into buying all ingredients separately but the convieniance of having it sent to you in one package for one price is very...

    Recommended Nice Ruby Ale

Thanks for all your suggestions. Im thinking of going with the steeped choc option. Can you suggest how much i should use and in what volume of water. I have seen an extract recepie which suggests 0.09kg p but this is in a full extract receipe. But having never steeped before it's all a new...

Tap on Corny wont stop the beer flowing...

Guys. I got a new Corny setup from Norm, there is an IPA in there which has been on the gas now for 5 days. Over the course of the 5 days I have twice drawn liquid out to see the difference in Carb levels. Though there is no obvious bubbles rising there is a hint of carb in the Beer and im...

    Further corny advice...

Cool. So is there a maximum time I should be leaving it connected...or is it ok to just leave it permenantley hooked up to the cylinder. If I were to get a fridge and just wanted to chill the keg down without the gas bottle connected, will it keep the gas that's already in it or will it start...

    Further corny advice...

Hello. I'm in the process of carbing my keg with an IPA. I thought I understood the process but need clarification. It's very warm at the moment and I dont have a spare fridge. At present it's 22c indoors and was 10c outside last night. I left my keg and gas outdoors last night to cool it...
