Just started to get into beer making, Second kit is on. I decided to get a beer fridge for temp. control. Put a call out on Freecycle and got one straight away. Ordered a STC1000 and a tubular heater off E-bay. so far so good. I tried an empty FV for size and guess what. My FV's are from the Coopers kits and are 23cm. high with the collar on and the inside of the fridge is only 19cm. Now looking for a tall larder fridge. Gutted

could u just bin off the collars i know thats one of the highlights of the coopers fv but it might fit then

I would do as stated above.

The collars are ok but I have other fermenters and get by just fine without the krausen causing issues. Assuming of course the FV fit with them off.

Cheers

Steve.

i ebayed a Fosters under the counter fridge, thinking Foaters id the gold name in commercial fridges.

after forking out an extra £20 for delivery it arrives only to be a fosters beer stickered fridge, and diddy with it. too narrow for my buckets and too short for my 4" neck vessels :(

i ebyed a few jerrycans that do fit and drilled the cap for an airlock.
