    MiniKegs

arrr i see they are the kegs for immediate use rather than the Co2 dispensing ones, I have never used them but am interested. Think i'll get some and see what they're like

    MiniKegs

If you take care of them and make sure to empty, clean and dry then you get a fair few goes out of them, used mine 3 or four time and no issues yet, just keep an eye on rust and doubly make sure they are dry and they're good to go. but the are disposable and will rust after a while

    MiniKegs

I use them and recommend them, great to have a small keg of some not often drunk beer, for me that would be a stout or porter. £5 is a good price, dont suppose they do postage?

worst brew day ever - wheat beer!

I kegged this two weeks ago and filled a corny and had a bit left over so bottled a few primed with medium spray malt. The Corny beer doesnt taste right, I thought it was a bit too young but cracked open a bottle and it tastes great. I think wheat really does benefit from being primed in...

worst brew day ever - wheat beer!

arrr the kolsch, that opened up a whole style of brewing for me without the having proper temp control for lager. It took a while to mellow out, but after three months and about 5 liters left it was absolutely brilliant, a bit like lowenbrau. I carbonated at 25psi at about room temp and it...

worst brew day ever - wheat beer!

I use a cruddy 20l mega cheapo coolbox as a mash tun and havent really tried to insulate it any further as a bit too lazy so my own fault. Upgrading to a 38l nordic soon so hope for better results then. I will reduce the mash volume next time to see how it goes. I should rename myself the...

worst brew day ever - wheat beer!

Well i guess its time a sh**ty brewday came my way, they seem to be going for too well smoothly. Having a beer festival in may and have been brewing once or twice a week, cramming them in. I have got it all down to 4hrs start to finish, including setting up and the cleaning at the end. I've...

    Carbonating TC in a cornie

Cool the keg down if you can, the colder it is the longer the co2 will stay dissolved, dont have a fridge set up yet so its small glass's and drink fast
  15. aeddon

    Help, I'm new to cornies

If you have racked the beer clear and its finished fermentation it will be flat. The benefit of using a corni keg is that you can force carbonate the beer which leaves it clear, whereas if you added spraymalt/sugar the yeast will cloud the beer somewhat. If you pressurize the keg it will...
