    Pressure Barrel to Bottle transfer?

I was thinking of doing the same with a bitter, is there anything that can be done to aid in the transfer from keg to bottle? What about giving the keg a good blast of co2 and priming the bottles?

    Kegged bitter

I have just kegged a bitter kit and it just filled up to about 3/4 of the keg question is I have primed it but should I also add co2 to keep air of the top of brew til the primer kicks in?

    FG of coopers lager

Just done a fg and its down, I would say its sitting about the 1012-13 mark so I'm pleased about that, will do another reading tomorrow and see how it goes. If its still the same on monday I think I will keg or bottle it and just hope for the best.

    FG of coopers lager

I gave it a stir today but there doesnt seem to be a lot happening, took a fg and that was the same as it has been the last two days 1016. Is there anything else I can do if fg doesn't drop in few days. Advice appreciated.

    FG of coopers lager

Hi, yes it was around 1045/47 and I put the kilo of brewing sugar that came with the kit that was all. Do you think I should just leave it for couple of days or add satchet of yeast or give it a stir.

    Looking for advice

If I put it into the barrel/keg how would I go about this, I read somewhere that when put into a barrel/keg you have to try and not leave any air at the top and get co2 in there somehow. Can anyone explain or give me a run down on hows this is done? thanks in advance

    Looking for advice

When my coopers lager has finished its fermenting I was going to be putting it into a barrel/keg for week or two then put it into bottles. With this being my first ever brew I'm worried about exploding bottles thats why doing keg first and for my own piece of mind. What would be the best...

Right, after reading LE tip I cant wait til tomorrow to get the wet towel on it, would do it tonight but the kids are in bed and the fv is upstairs. Tomorrow will be two days at 25c-27c, will the brew be ok if I get it to proper temp tomorrow? Again thanks for replies.

Thanks everyone for the replies. It's coopers lager that i've got going at the moment, I put a fan in the cupboard with it to try and cool it down a bit, got it down to 25c so that will be 22c-25c would that be ok or will I have to get it lower? The thing is our house is a pretty warm...

    Newbie looking for advice.

Hi all, I have just started this homebrew making and done my first kit yesterday, should I keep the fv in a dark place or doesn't it matter. At the moment I have it in a cupboard where the tempature is roughly between 22-28 would this be fine? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
