    WB-06

yes, i used wb 06 on my last batch of hefe, if it's the banana clove thing you're after, then give it a miss. I've used it twice now, the first I fermented at 16-18 deg C, although it was nice, it wasn't banana-ry enough, so with the last one, after reading, that to get more banana, ferement...

    Hop wort loss calculator

Hop wort loss calculator - Is there one, or is there an amount that is generally used, as i've been using loads of hops in my last few brews i've been coming up short on my final volume. My last brew for instance i used 150g of hops and was 2 litres short. (probably not the hops, but me :? ) So...

    I've got a big head!

You may have over primed, but it will calm down as it starts to empty, but in the meantime, try rinsing your beer glass in water first, shake off the excess then pour, it normally reduces the frothing considerably. :thumb:

    birch sap

It's probably too early, with the **** cold weather the tree's probably still dormant, wait until the buds are just about to burst and you'll find the tree will bleed freely. I'd give it another month. Good luck

    Shodan Pale Ale

Hi TS, I was just wondering, do you add your finings to the FV, or to the bottle/keg? I'm asking as I can't get my AG#6 to clear, all my others have cleared with no probs, but this last one just won't budge. So for my next brew I might add some Kwik clear to the FV when it's finished fermenting...

    From GW Black Sheep Riggwelter

Hi Damfoose, fine set up you've got there, much the same as i'm heading towards. Got meself a keg, which i'm going to attack, and will be like yours, I was wondering, what did you use to drill the hole for the tap. I've got a 20mm hole saw, will that do the job, or do I need something special...

    Beersmith or Promash

Fantastic bit of kit - I used to use one when I was a Graphic Designer - now a gardener, so not much use for me now ;) Going to go with Beersmith - i actually prefered it slightly anyway - so going to order tonight. Thanks for all your input guys - much appreciated

    Beersmith or Promash

Cheers Wez - no longer a mac user :( unfortunately use a PC (piece of ****) now. Think i'll go with Beersmith, seems more popular than Promash.

    Beersmith or Promash

Hi Guys, going be getting either one of these when my free trial runs out. I like both applications and their features, but was wondering, which one you'd recommend, as i've heard people say that Beersmith for example isn't very accurate with its OG and ABV predictions, has anyone had problems...

The most basic brew for a beginner...

I used it for my 1st AG brew and it was great, simple (it had to be for me) and easy to follow and my end result was SH1T :D Not really - it was amazing, just ready to drink now, going to christen it tomorrow night when we thrash the Germans!!!
