Hi all, im in the middle of the youngs ipa kit. i have added the hop pellets as per the instructions ( loose ) However, after 2 days there is still a large hop sludge on the surface. should this have sunk by now? or will they sink in time? what should i do about it? thanks for any advice.

Hi. Thanks for the replies. I would like something hoppy like punk ipa i suppose. I used brewers friend. Like i say i havent done my own additions before so i would take any help and advice i can get on the hop sequence and quantities etc. Cheers guys

Ive had my beer bottled now for almost 5 days and its currently in a place above 18 degrees as stated in instructions. My problem is I dont really have anywhere cold to move them to. Can they be moved to a fridge at that stage or is that too cold? Thanks

Going into day 9 tomorrow and last 2 reading have both been 1013. ( OG was 1040 ) taste seems good and i seem to have a couple of inch band at the top of beer now that is getting very clear looking. Should i think about bottling now?
