    Well I finally got around to building it - decided to have some speed numbers for a laugh the spin starts at 86 and is best at 96 - after that it throws the bar off to the side. Iits a bit gash at the moment - needs to be prettied up a bit. The top is a piece of kitchen towel over the glass top...

    wont be seriously expensive but replaceable probe models is a major option if the price is right :)

    No Beercat, its more about getting full control and repeatability on brews, if the water is not the 'same' each time - then the final outcome will/may vary - balance the ph and minerals etc in the water and be able to repeat the same each time is one less variable :)

    Just got this - and the Water one - also picked up Designing Great Beers by Ray Daniels. Looking forward to a good read and putting more 'intelligence' into the brews I make with, I hope, a better output :)

    Had an offer I just could not refuse 5kg of irish wheat malt for a £1 - so I added a couple of Kg of Marris Otter and a 1/2 kg of Cara Blond malt - with 100gms of Cascade to the order. Brew up with 2 sachets of Saison yeast to see what we get BIAB brew 3kg Irish Wheat malt 2kg Marris Otter...

    Fermentation restarted after dry hopping?

    Good to read this - just dry hopped my New World Saison kit - FG 1.008, has been for 4-5 days no airlock activity, 10 mins later bubbles through the airlock, will leave it the required time then bottle, not expecting any change in FG.
