    What do I need?

P.s if you boil good and long and get the larger proteins to drop out then protein has no issues and yeast issues are easily solved by shaking the keg slightly to get the yeast back into the beer if clearing any ( left standing for a while may start to clear ) I find it tastes better and...

    What do I need?

depends what you brew , fizzy yes , creamy low fizzy then 3/8 line . Maybe 6 ft if medium fizz less if lower . get inserts off ebay for 3/8 to 3/16 if needed to use 3/16 for fizzy and maybe 6ft ( mine 4ft at 20 psi serving for wheat of 3/16 , most other brews want 3/8 and serve much lower psi ) .

    What do I need?

3/16 line for lagers , wheat beers and fizzy brews while 3/8 line for medium to low carbed brews . I have a tap with 3/16 fitting in it then use beer line around 4 ft (wheat beers for me mostly) then that goes into a jg fitting that connects to the disconnect that goes onto the out of the corny...

Effect of fluctuating temperature on fermentation

Can you not get your self an aquarium heater (50 watt around £10/15) and a storage container (70 litre £7 ) with a digital fish tank thermometer with probe ( £4 ) and you can brew from 18c upwards and will be steady and constant . Yeast makes beer we make wort and yeast is a moaning , fussy...

New to Extract Brewing - Help please...

I would use as much water as possible then top up after boil . Steeping doesn't matter as far as ratio goes so just do em in your water first that will be boiled .

    Blackberry Wheat beer

You might want to think about use wlp320 american wheat yeast , no banana and clove which would allow the fruit to shine .

    Cherry hefe

Not sure cherries would work flavour wise with banana and clove :hmm: other fruits like orange or strawberries seem to work for some . Maybe a belgian yeast instead and only around 30% wheat with pilsner malt , ibu maybe around 25 . just a thought .

    2nd extract brew -pale ale

Hi Rui , i'm also a may baby :) sounds like a great party your village enjoys . I would up the crystal to 200/300g ( more towards 200g ) otherwise you might not notice it . I would think it's more a pale ale maybe as the ibu is too low for an IPA . Hope it goes well :thumb:
