    Best aroma hops to use

Been home brewing, mainly kits, for a while now and I'd like to experiment with hops that add aroma only. I don't like my beer too bitter. Any views on what hops I can use? What do they smell like? When to add them? I mainly brew bitters and stouts Thanks chaps

    Safbrew T- 58

Anyone used this yeast? I want to brew something similar to a belgian beer but fermenting in the higher temperature. I have been brewing Saison beers (25c to 30c) but fancy trying something different. Any thoughts chaps? :|

    Bottle Bombs!

Made a Wherry in December last year and started on it in March this year.Tasted quite bitter and harsh so I thought I would leave it for a while. I had forgotten all about until last week when I heard a loud pop in the garage and beer on the floor with a bottle with the bottom blown off. I...

    Conditioning Lager

I recently made a Wilkos Delicate Pilsner. I have made this twice before, tweaking the recipe and after secondary fermentation, storing it in my fridge. I was speaking to another home brewer the other day and he said he finds it conditions better if left out of the fridge. Any ideas on this...

Batch priming milestones raspberry wheat beer and coopers wheat beer

I've never brewed Milestones raspberry so I can't help you there. I have made the Coopers wheat four times so far, one of my favourite summer beers.I brewed short to 20L and batch primed in my bottling bucket using 180g of Tesco's golden sugar. Came out very lively but that's how I like my...

Can't really say. My bottle lasts for about 4 months or so. Never had any problems.

    Sterilising bottles & storage

Yes. I have made up a solution in a spray bottle. I also spray inside the cap as well and give it a good shake. When I come to use the bottles I just shake out any Starsan and leave them open.

    Sterilising bottles & storage

All I do is when I have drunk the beer, I simply rinse them out straight away, replace the cap loosely and leave until the next day. I then flick out the water, give a quick squirt of Starsan, replace the caps loosely and store. In over a year of using this method I haven't had any...

Re: Brewferm Oud Vlaams Bruin/Old Brown Beer

Yes I was asking that. Porter is my favourite style of beer and I was just hoping that there was an easy way to brew it. I have been brewing for a year now, only kits mainly Coopers and Wilkos. Now that I have the basic brewing knowledge, I want to experiment with kits to change the taste...

    Coopers Original Stout Review

As to poor head retention, I boil 100g Crushed Wheat Malt for about 30 minutes in 1L of water and add to the FV. I always get a nice head. I have done this kit loads of times, always comes out lovely. ☺
