Bottle Bombs!

Made a Wherry in December last year and started on it in March this year.Tasted quite bitter and harsh so I thought I would leave it for a while. I had forgotten all about until last week when I heard a loud pop in the garage and beer on the floor with a bottle with the bottom blown off.

I then stuck them all in the fridge for a couple of days and when I tried one, I got a beer shower. Really impressed, it went EVERYWHERE.

They are all incredibly lively, and I'm losing about a third of a bottle every time I open one. Taste OK though.

Used the kit,
500g Medium Spraymalt,
Kit yeast,
20g Fuggles
23L Tesco Water
OG 1.048
FG 1.013
Took 15 days at 20c
Primed 1 carb drop per bottle

Oh, and went away for a few days and forgot about six bottles I had missed, they all exploded!

Lovely smell in the garage though :shock: :-D :lol:

Had my first ever bottle bomb this week, a Coopers Stout bottled in a 600ml bottle with 1tsp of sugar.

Proost, my first in seven months, they are the work of the devil, cleaning up stout, give me a break!!!
