It is preferable to keep them at a stable temperature... but not always possible. The brewferm kits benefit from a long, long conditioning time so it’s alot harder to keep them stable for months. My advice would be to keep it stable for initial conditioning but after that store them in the back...

I think the tins are a good idea if (like me) you are struggling for fridge and freezer space due to young family taking over everything...... anyway don’t know whether you could do a scheme where repeat orders have the option to choose ‘re-use previous tin’ or something along those lines so...

The above posts about the polys are right; they’re not exactly intended for carbonated beers and more for the real ale. They can be used to condition in though and the beer will keep fine once conditioned in them as long as it’s not intended to be used for laying the beer down. It just starts...

Why the time before carbonating? I would carbonate it and just drink the mini first to give the poly chance to settle once you’re there. It’ll have proper conditioning time then too.

I’m 28 and I’m taking it due to double knee op and not a lot of cartilage left. The ache and pain hasn’t been affected but it does feel much freer moving.

How long you leaving it to condition? Some people taste the kit ‘twang’ more then others and I’m one of the unfortunate ones that has to leave the beer quite a while after before it goes. I describe that as a plasticy taste.

What would a good press look like/cost? What sort of garden shredder did you use?
