So I was provided some wonderful strange yeast. From Norway in a remote village. When I was at a homebrew competition in London where I live.

I'm currently spawning a yeast starter and going to brew a beer with it.
As well as dry some out and store some in a yeast bank I'm working on.

I was thinking of making a very lite ale using it. Using golden promise. Should be fun to brew with this. Can't make a traditional Norwegian brew though as no juniper branches.

Provenance: He got it from Oddmund Teigen, in the Stranda valley toward Hellesylt in the mid-90s. He doesn't know where Teigen got it from.
