Star Wars - the next instalment is coming

I like you’re thinking, I might have to volunteer at work to take some kids to the cinema me thinks.....

    The Ashes

Although, to be fair to the bowlers, (and to my annoyance in agreement with blundering Boycott) we have thrown wickets away. I’m not saying we don’t need a change in the bowling department but the wickets were s***e.

    The Ashes

Plunkett is a prime example too though. He was quick when he came on the scene, over coached and repeated side strains and rib injuries. Goes back to county for a few years, starts running in again and bowls quick. The bowlers coming through now are a product of the over coaching that went on at...

    The Ashes

This is what happens when you coach your bowlers within an inch of their action so they’re all the same, instead of let them run in and bowl like the Aussies

    1.36 a pint

My old local was a Sam Smith’s place. They reduce overheads by only using their own alcohol and have their own brand snacks etc. Don’t pay tv costs and don’t have middle men, the bosses deal with ordering, meeting license holders etc. That was what they told me anyway......

    Barley Wine

Look up the Brewferm kits. They need long time conditioning to smooth out but any time after 4 months they are all lovely. Christmas especially and you will start to see offers on them soon.

    Variables???

I agree with...... everyone! I enjoy reading he scientific processes and trying to understand whilst in the infancy of my brewing career but I use the “what works for me” a lot more for my processes for now as I don’t have the understanding to connect the two yet. Everyone...

    Kits- "Twang" theory

I’ve only really brewed the bigger darker beers and one pale. The pale I made with Mango and it took an awful long time to clear, we sold our house, had to move in with in-laws whilst ours is STILL being built (I won’t get started...) and it was stored at my brothers so I had a...

    Kits- "Twang" theory

I’ve enjoyed the kits I’ve made so far and didn’t notice any twang (both using cans and doubled up kits). Does it condition out? As I have always left my kits 6 months before drinking as they don’t have a dry-hop.

    Brewdog desperate B***ers

Ah I get what you meant now (apologies) Imagine explaining that one to the kids as you walked past it!

    Brewdog desperate B***ers

I couldn’t believe it when I got the email. I did one of the original equity things (stupid I know) but I’m going to try and get rid of mine when the next sell off comes round so I don’t keep getting all this crap.

    £250,000 for 1 kid - ethical?

The amount of parents I work with that are in that situation with no help is horrible and no family should be left like that. I don’t doubt for one minute that council and NHS budgets can be spent better. For example I used to work with young people that had been abused and were either on...

    £250,000 for 1 kid - ethical?

It costs nearly twice as much to care for a young person who had severe behavioural problems or has been abused. Why don’t we euthanise them too? Or how about care for people with alcohol problems or smoking related diseases? Or can’t be bothered to get off their arse and get a...

    £250,000 for 1 kid - ethical?

For someone who has family in this situation and works in this field, I think a thread suggesting the euthanasia of disabled children is hideous.

    The Ashes

I’ve only seen bits but it’s like Groundhog Day on your. Almost like we’re missing Stokes slightly...... if you add stokes in to the mix for Ball and let him and Woakes take off the handbrake it’s a different attack altogether!

    The Ashes

Well I’ve woken up this morning to 195 all out and Australia 64-0. Being from Notts I want Ball and Broad to succeed but I don’t think they can play in the same team and you got to keep Broad in for the wonder spell that might happen. Got to look at something different in bowling...

    The Ashes

I don’t see why we won’t pick the genuine quicks, there are, and have been for a few years, a few knocking around the county circuit getting wickets. Even if they said to Woakes let the handbrake off and bowl 5 over spells he can get up to 90 mph. As for Cook, even with regular...

    The Ashes

Yeah I agree about Cook, shame because I think if he was any other nationality scoring as many runs as he had he would be hailed as their greatest ever player and given all the accolades they could find. Why I always want him to get one more big score just to keep proving how good he has been...
