    Flow control taps

You've hit a good point here here @foxbat. Sounds like SS is a better bet in the long term

    Flow control taps

Hi all Seems to be a lot of keg related posts on here at the moment - clearly we've all got sick of bottling during covid19... Into my question. Are flow control taps worth the extra dough? I've seen mixed opinions on the matter. I normally carb my beers between 2 and 3 Vol, rarely have I gone...

    Corny Keg Pricing

Thanks all for making the effort to reply. Have checked out brew keg tap also. Was originally thinking second hand off Gumtree or otherwise would be the ticket but they seem very competitive from these guys. Cheers all!

    Corny Keg Pricing

Hi all Looking to get into a keg setup. https://www.thehomebrewcompany.co.uk/beer-wine-equipment-cornelius-keg-systems-c-2_25.html These look to be the best prices I've seen around. Don't suppose anyone has bought these from THBC and could report back?

    Already to give up

No. Something like this will do the trick https://www.angelhomebrew.co.uk/en/stainless-steel-fittings/132-12-bsp-check-valve.html You might be able to get something all in one though

    Already to give up

It's a barb mate (or a nipple or a barb nipple as you wish). Something like this should do the trick https://www.themaltmiller.co.uk/product/12-bsp-male-to-38-hose-barb/

    Switch between PID and SSR

You're talking about switching the control signal to the SSR right, not the mains? If so, yes that will work, just observe the polarity on the relay. If you're talking about switching the mains then no. Sure it will work but it can be dangerous and is best to switch your active

    30l Urn-conversion All grain Method

Measure out my water the night before and treat. Heat strike water, mash and recirculate - the Mrs makes me do it on a work day so I'm in no rush. Sometimes it'll be a few hours. Water wise, I'll use around 20l for the mash regardless of the grist. Some might argue I could put a bit more...

    30l Urn-conversion All grain Method

I do just that. Started with a cooler but this is easier and I can do the same size batches. Don't really use the cooler anymore. 30l boiler 23l batches Sparge in a separate bucket although you could do no sparge. Recirculating mash Any questions just ask

    Kveik

I've gave the CML Voss a burl. Milkshake IPA that I need a quick turnaround on. 62 to 20 in around 34 hours. Pitched it around 24 degrees and ramped it up to around 40.

    First Tea Urn conversion.

First thing that comes to mind is your integral setting on your controller. Is it set to zero?

Super Cheap Syphon Pump and filter

Bought one. Don't use it any more. Hard to clean once you get build up inside the pump part and as the pump doesn't really fill up I feel as though it could possibly cause oxygenation. The filters are good though and I swear by em. I'll probably be burned at the stake but I wouldn't bother...

    iSpindel - digital WiFi hydrometer

What's the best place to get them from mate?

    iSpindel - digital WiFi hydrometer

Include me for a bulk buy. Been wanting to make one of these for a while

How to reduce mains voltage from 245 to 220V or less?

+1 to this. Have done something very similar in similar circumstances to yourself. I use one rated at 4kW to control my boiler. Helps control boil over and protect the fused spur the radial is fed from

    New CML yeasts

    +1 to this

What dry yeast for a stout

Can't tell you more than I've done the GH dry stout recipe before with US05, which was good but with this yeast it was better. I ferment in a chest freezer, pitched at 16 and ramped to 21. Will do the second brew with it next weekend, same recipe give or take but am keen to try it on a bitter...

What dry yeast for a stout

+1 for the Beoir. It's quite good in my experience and specifically with that recipe. About to do it again next week

    New crossmyloof 'Haze' yeast.

I have mate. It's good. I did a session neipa style with it. No complaints
