    New crossmyloof 'Haze' yeast.

It will pass - probably doesn't require any action. I always get sulphur with this one a few days in. My process is that I increase the temp toward the end of ferment, not to say this helps with sulphur. I never open the lid, no need.

Temp contoller for mash and boil

If you're good electrically you can put something together yourself: I use a motor speed controller as a means of dropping the input voltage, you don't really need temperature control for the boil: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Thermostat-Electric-Regulator-Temperature-Controller/dp/B07RYXVF9H For...

    Concealed element replacement

Sure thing mate. I did the same thing with mine. I've got the smaller element and the new one connected which must come in a bees dick under 13A. I then have a voltage controller to get some temperature control for the boil. This is the guy...

Wilko pressure barrel as pressure fermenter

Hi mate, If you've got it relieving around 12 psi I'd do the same and just keep with that. I've just been using the cml helles. Fermenting around 19 degrees at 12 - 15psi. I normally leave em a week. Done quicker than that typically though, maybe a few days They come out pretty crisp

Wilko pressure barrel as pressure fermenter

Thanks for the reply mate. I swapped my tap and that sorted it out. I've been a little naughty and am just connecting a spunding valve to the ball lock post. As long as the valve is always on it, it's safe enough. Have done 3 lagers under pressure - sweet. A proper setup would be better but it...

    Vanilla and Bourbon Stout

I'm going to make this myself tomorrow, like @Zephyr259 with Voss also. Out of interest mate, did you ferment it low? How did you find it in this brew? For the vanilla, I'll make a tincture with vodka and Chuck it in with the bourbon when I keg it

The lager yeasts that I've used have all krausened. This one included. Seems normal to me.

    Hop spider or not?

I've got both. In my opinion, the nylon bags are all you need even for big hop beers. The hop spider makes a good place for drying small brew bits and that's all I'll probably use it for now
